Breastfeeding is not only nutrition and bonding between Mum and Bub but it is also the baby’s jaw growth, airways development and his/her life long general well beings.
If your baby is constantly hungry yet falls asleep too early into the feed, unsettled too often, does not sleep for long, suffer from colic, reflux, the upper lip often has blister, milk can be leaking out while being breastfed and Mum suffers from sore, cracked or burning nipples, he /she might have tongue and or lip tie.
Diagnosis can be done by trained health professionals such as midwives, lactation consultants, MACH nurses, doctors and dentists.
Dr Linhlan Nguyen has been offering LASER tongue and lip tie releases to newborns, children and adults. LASER release has advantages over others done by scapel and scissors. There is hardly post-op bleeding or infection. Swelling and pain post-operatively are minimal compared to traditional methods. LASER stimulates better tissue healing and regeneration.
